Security

This site is public. DATUM operational is not.

The website and the DATUM demo are unclassified marketing and product language. They are not a command system, not a classified map, and not an authority to operate.

Two environments

We split the public internet from the system that will site and run hives for government customers.

  • Public web This repository. Static pages. No live hive telemetry. No real terrain of operational sites.
  • DATUM demo A browser shell that shows siting language on abstract terrain. Bannered DEMO. No weapons control. No live tracks.
  • DATUM evaluation Closed environment for accredited partners. Identity, logging, and data handling agreed in writing before access.
  • DATUM operational (future) Designed toward government high-side deployment: isolated networks, hardware-backed identity, no standing admin, continuous audit. Not claimed certified until it is.

Design intent for the operational layer

These are engineering commitments for the product that will follow this website, not badges we print today.

  • Air-gapped and restricted-network deployments. No requirement on public cloud for a government instance.
  • Operator identity via government PIV or CAC when the customer requires it. No shared passwords.
  • Zero standing privilege. Elevation is ticketed, logged, and time-boxed.
  • Siting data, hive layouts, and telemetry treated as CUI or classified per customer marking. The public demo uses invented terrain only.
  • Human on the loop. DATUM does not expose targeting or weapon release on any public surface, including the demo.
  • Export. Some capabilities may be subject to US export controls. We do not brief controlled technical data on this site.
